complete mass hysteria:), this is what happens when the central figures become the center of it all, logic of the "One", when everybody breathes with the One...communism and communal-new age-spiritualism that is structured around the central figure bears the same logic...the role of the central One, is the logic of direct or indirect totalitarianism, but still with one important notice; the people/the subjects see the 'God' in the chosen One...in reality there's nothing there...

and what is most absurd, those people never had any direct and personal relationship with the President, but The president lives in their hearts as the Ideal, to be followed and to be worshiped, all the people who performed for the President on the big stadium with all the gymnastics, is the example of big ideology par excellence; how to work with the massess in such a way, to hold their complete attention and dedication and control of their 'instinctual life' in the service of the Ideal...

V.H.

Yes, may he rest in peace.
I don't want to judge his deads. If he did not do anything more than united Czech nation just for some a while in 1989 and 2011 - who from Czech people can say he manage to do the same in last 50 years?
Maybe he was naive, trusted not so good people etc, etc... but he was trying to do the best. This is what I respect and what inspires me.

In his last months nuns were taking care about him together with his wife. There is a small part of the dialogue with nun Veritas. I was pleasantly surprised by her unswer.

Reporter: He received the last rites?
Nun: No.
Reporter: Do you fear for his soul?
Nun:No. It is true what Saint Augustine said, that there are many people whom God has and Church does'nt have them, and there are many people whom church has, but God does not have. Even without the sacrament the true and humble man gets much further than many Catholics with the sacraments, I am convinced about it. And Mr. President is one example - a man who lived by his inner conviction and faith in God. He is for much more sure with God than many Catholics.

BTW - pleasant and joyfull time of solstice and christmas to all of you
